About Mrs. Kane
I am thrilled to be entering my twenty-second year of teaching and my twelfth year at Central School. I have taught preschool and kindergarten for nine years, fourth grade for four years, and spent many years as a school librarian in the district.
I was born and raised in Cambridgeport, Vermont, and I live today half a mile away from where I was grew up. I graduated from Bellows Falls Union High School and attended Tufts University, graduating summa cum laude. I live in a small house in the middle of a beautiful meadow surrounded by Vermont forests. I love to read and to watch the wildlife out my window, especially the birds (and squirrels) at my feeders and the foxes, wild turkeys, deer, raccoons, and assorted other creatures that wander through my field. I love spending time with my siblings, three sisters who live "away" and two brothers who live nearby, and I have just completed my Masters degree, a M.Ed in Language and Literacy through Lesley University. I also have two grown sons, William and Daniel, who continue to keep me on my toes!
