Inspired by Storyteller Len Cabral, students in Mrs.Verespy's room did some storytelling of their own before the holiday break.

Gingerbread Babies
Mrs. O and Mrs.Verespy brought in treats for their students from the Heritage Deli in Chester. After reading The Gingerbread Baby by Jan Brett, students opened their very own gingerbread decorating kits and had fun making delicious gingerbread babies! Thanks to the Heritage Deli for the attention to detail in these sweet kits, and for giving us a little educator discount on the purchase!

Thank you
September 2020
The students have been amazing with our new health safety protocols! They are working hard, and have been so kind and helpful to us and one another. Thank you for helping them to bring in work packets and Chromebooks. You are rock stars too, families!
It would be wonderful to have 100% attendance at our Google Meetings each morning. Please let us know if you need assistance logging your child on each remote work day!

Welcome to a New School Year from Mrs.Verespy and Mrs. O!
This year is certainly beginning in a very different way than all other school years have! We understand people are under stress due to the continuing pandemic, and the uncertainty and worry it brings with it. Many of you may feel concerned that your child has fallen behind due to struggles with the sudden transition to remote learning last spring. We want to let you know that we are aware that this year's second graders may not be at the same point other classes have been at the start of a school year. As always, we will do our very best to meet them where they are, and get them where they need to be. However, our first priority will be making sure your child feels safe at school and known by us. Social emotional needs have to be our first concern. As the saying goes, children don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care!
